Horrible Horrible News

The Anheuser Busch theme parks will be discontinuing their free sampling of Beer and Beer School as of January 2009.

That means............Seaworld will now Suck -Except for Kracken and their new Manta Rollercoaster which opens in 2009.

We are very disapointed.

Role Models

Overview

Two salesmen trash a company truck on an energy drink-fueled bender. Upon their arrest, the court gives them a choice: do hard time or spend 150 service hours with a mentorship program. Surrounded by annoying do-gooders, Danny struggles with his every neurotic impulse to guide Augie through the trials of becoming a man. Meanwhile, charming Wheeler tries to trade in an addiction to partying and women to assist a fifth-grader named Ronnie redirect his foul-mouthed ways. Once the center’s ex-con director gives them an ultimatum, Danny and Wheeler are forced to tailor their brand of immature wisdom to their charges.

Overall Opinion:

Rae: (Please forgive me if this one is a little vague. It's been over a week and a half since I've seen it...) Overall I thought it was a really funny movie. Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott (who just always seems to exude hotness, no matter what) were amazing as always. They brought their different comedic styles together very well and made a great team. Their interactions with the kids were very realistic portrayals of what I would assume to see if those types of people were actually put in that situation. That being said, Ronnie's character had the best comedic timing of the whole movie. He was hilarious and brought a slight element of surprise to the plot. I definitely would recommend seeing it in the theater. Well worth the money.

Jen: Elizabeth Banks must be banking, shes been in quite a few movies lately and I saw her in more trailers, I'm glad she can play diverse roles. I enjoyed this movie, I laughed consistantly throughout it, and thought that the plot line was good. I love Paul Rudd's humor and Stiffler is always a good character. I really think that Ronnie (Wheeler's little) made the movie, something about when little kids say bad words makes me laugh. I liked Auggie (aka McLovin), his voice makes me laugh, and the fact that I actually knew about the activity he was interested in was really funny (yes those people really are that strange). In all I'd definatly recommend seeing it, it was a good somewhat clean comedy.

Rating Categories(rate on a 0-5 scale)

Rae

Acting: Hmm, maybe a 4. Comedies require less actual acting skills, but the comedic timing is something that requires skill also. This is also harder to learn, and is something that comes naturally to the actors in this movie.
Story: 4. It kept my interest throughout the whole movie. My favorite was when Paul Rudd's character basically went insane. He was awesomely asshole-ish to everyone.
Music: 1. I don't remember any of the songs that were played in the movie. However, if you include the "song" that Paul Rudd sings to Elizabeth Banks at the end then I'd have to give it a 3. That song was hilarious.
Overall Rating: 4. Good story, very entertaining.
Buy/Rent: Rent and then burn.
Ending Comments: Anyone else wanna join LAIRE? JK! Cuz I value myself as a person. :)
And I honestly can't really pick between this one and Zack and Miri. They were such different types of comedies. This was more of a feel good comedy, which was really nice for a change.

Jen

Acting: 4 for Ronnie and Paul Rudd's comedic timing...
Story: 3.5 Not all that original, but different from anything out lately
Music: 2 I can't even rememeber the music played in it.
Overall Rating: 4
Buy/Rent: I'd netflix the movie when it comes out. It was cute and funny but not enough to own.
Ending Comments: Oooh Paul Rudd... How you've changed for the better since your clueless days.... I still can't stop thinking of you as Josh..

Favorite line: "I think if I told him I was taking him to Quiddich practice he'd cream his pants!"

Sorry guys... But I liked Zack and Miri as a comedy better...

Zack and Miri Make a Porno

Overview of the Story:
Lifelong friends and roommates Zack (Seth Rogen) and Miri (Elizabeth Banks) are facing hard times and a mountain of debt. When the electricity and plumbing get cut off, they seize upon the idea of making a homegrown porno movie for some quick cash, enlisting the help of their friends. The two vow that having sex will not ruin their friendship. But as filming begins, what started out as a business proposition between friends turns into something much more. (www.zackandmiri.com)

Overall Opinion:
Rae: Well, I might be a little biased based on the fact that I completely love Kevin Smith movies, so I obviously thought this one was great! The movie started off hilarious and continued to be so for the majority of the rest of it. As it usually happens with this type of movie, however, it got a little slower towards the end. An acceptable trait however. I was also more a fan of the supporting characters than of the main characters. They brought so much depth and diversification to the movie making it all that much more entertaining to watch. It is definitely worth going to see!

Jen: If you like Crude Comedy with an interesting plot this movie is for you. Its not Kevin Smith's Best comedy but its definatly a good one to see. I loved the Mac Guy!! he was so good in this movie! Also Loved Darrell from the Office's Character! they Both made the movie! The first half is hilarious, once they start adding in a little love story and the movie is coming to a closure, it turns a little downhill. Overall it really is funny, I would say its one of the top comedies of the year, definatly of the season.

(rate on a 0-5 scale)
Rae:
Acting: 3.5: As I already said, I liked the supporting characters more than the main ones.
Story: 4: Pretty original plot line. Haven't seen one like it, but it gets it's one point deduction for the completely predictable ending.
Music: 5!: Amazing soundtrack! Nice mix of recent music as well as late 90's music. Totally took me back in time.
Overall Rating: 4
Buy/Rent: Well, being that I like to buy movies, I say buy.
Ending Comments: "Let us f**k!" (Go see it and you'll understand) ;)

Jen:
Acting: 3 (They play the same characters.. this isn't a movie where the acting is essencial they did a good enough job)
Story: 3 (somewhat original - Good for these economic times)
Music: 5! (Great Soundtrack!)
Overall Rating: 4 (Cute, Funny, and Good characters)
Buy/Rent: I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it on Blue Ray when it comes out, I would rent it. I would definatly recommend seeing it in the movies.
Ending Comments: I think I want to make a Porno for money .......My theme: Super-Hero Musical Porno.

One Last Horrah before Rachael Leaves..

Today Rachael moves back home to Navarre (Pensacola area) before she moved home the Duo went on an outing in the Orlando area...
It started out with Them meeting up at Ikea for a cheap lunch (Hey you can't go wrong for $2.50 for 2 Hot Dogs, Chips and a Drink!) And of Course Hot dogs are one of their favorite foods so it worked out quite well. They discussed the outcome of the horrible UCF game and how they both feel that UCF should Fire Tim Salem, because he's Obviously not doing his job! O'Leary really isn't the greatest coach either, but they both feel its Salem's fault because the offense at UCF sucks, and the Defense can't carry the team.

After Lunch they drove to Downtown Disney to check out the 2008 Festival Of the Masters! This is an acclaimed National Art show that showcased over dozens of national artists. While down there they discovered that the new dinosaur place T-REX was Now Open!
They were so excited, and checked it out. Turns out its basically a Rainforest Cafe type restaurant but only it is Dinosaur themed. It was extremely innovative, a great themed restaurant. Inside they have a small store, with a Build-a-dino (which is like Build a bear but dinosaurs.) All over the Restaurant are animtronic animals and dinosaurs all over the walls that made noise, along with the ceiling looking like stars and tons of hanging foliage. It looked like a fun place to dine, But since it was recently opened and during the Festival it was way too crowded (And a little pricey for what we wanted to spend that day..) Defiantly looking forward to lunch or dinner there sometime in the near future though.

Here are some of the Pictures to high light the Festival of the Masters, As you can see we both really enjoy colorful pieces, And Pop-Art. The Bears one is really cool because its made completely out of NAILS!!!
After enjoying the Art show Rachael and Jennie decided to go to Universal's Islands of Adventure since they were in need of a nice adrenaline Rush! So they went on the two best Rollercoasters The Hulk, and Dueling Dragons. Then one of their favorite rides the Sneaches in Seuss Landing. Even though its intended for kids its a great ride because It goes around the entire Seuss landing and is just a really relaxing ride. Turns out that Both paths turn into eachother and is actually just a big circle. It was still a lot of fun so they went on that twice.

After going to IOA they headed over to Universal, We got excited when we were told we could watch the filming of something for free so getting excited we went over to see what it was, turns out it was just PPV wrestling, so that being lame, we just went on the Mummy. After riding the Mummy it was time to meet up with Rachael's dad for dinner. We all decided to go to Margaritaville since it was good prices and yummy food. Pretty fun relaxing day, all in all good times.
Here are a few extra pictures:

Us with Betty Boop (Who We've never seen out before) She was adorable and even talked like her!
One of our Signature Pictures...
On the Way out they decided to go through one of the Shops and Found these Cute little Thing 1 and Thing 2 Characters, Of course they decided against Purchasing them when they discovered they cost $4.99 (What a rip off) So We took picutres of and with them instead.

Of course the Best Part about Making Cupcakes besides eating them is decorating them...They were definatly Tasty We used Betty Crocker's Red Velvet Cake Mix and Chocolate Cake mix to make the cupcakes 1/2 Red Velvet and 1/2 Chocolate. When you bit into it you had a nice Striped color effect! The icing was Betty Crocker's Buttercream frosting with food coloring.

Halloween!

Soo Its been Forever Since we've updated this! But since we've been hanging out again I felt it was time for a necissary update. Well its My favorite time of year again, filled with Orange and Black --Yup Halloween! And my favorite part about Halloween Dressing up!!! Soo.. After a recent trip to Universal and Halloween Horror Nights, we decided the best costume for us this year would be "Thing 1" and "Thing 2". We both enjoy the crazy antics and would have so much fun playing the role of the myschevious pair. To be honest I really had no idea what Thing 1 and 2 looked like other than the blue hair and red shirt thingy.. But after being shown I thought it would be pretty hilarious.. We decided to look for Onesies and have a good ole time with that We found a great pair that would be perfect at some Pajama store online but they turned out to be around $30 and we weren't all about that. So somehow we decided to do a "Sexy" Version of "Thing 1 and Thing 2" Genius!
Supplies:
Red Fishnets:

Blue Wig (We really wanted this one but they are sold out so we'll have to figure something else out):

Red Soffees:Still Trying to figure out the shirt...........But it'll defiantly say "Thing 1" and "Thing 2".......maybe a Red Leotard or something......I donno but it has to be available in Orlando cuz we can't order it online since its too close to party time.
I really wanted to get Red Heels but since Rae and I have the same "Gangster Shoes" I guess we're just going to wear those. Oh well.
Pictures and Updates soon to come!
We're going to Halloween Horror Nights Tonight.... Hoping it will be adventuresom.
Thank God Tommorrow is Friday...............its been a long week.

handbags and beer

Sooo...the other day we got an urge to make purses out of old t-shirts and material. Yes, purses. Like, use patterns, cut the material, and sew it ourselves. Now, if you know us, you know we are pretty good at crafty stuff, but purses out of old t-shirts might just be on a higher level haha. Anyway, so we went to Wal-Mart to buy the patterns and thread and just random stuff to make them. But by the time we got home (in true Rachael and Jennie fashion) we were semi-over the idea for the day. It was still fun, though, and is definitely a project that will be continued later! :)

Then that night was Trehy's 21st bday celebration, so we went downtown to Wall St. to celebrate the festivities! Ended up getting there really late, so all the free parking was of course gone. Then we realized we didnt have any cash, so we drove over to the giant Bank of America downtown to find the ATM, which btw, is extremely hard to find on that dang building. In the parking garage there were 2 spots right next to each other amazingly, so Jennie parked in one spot and then there was a car in between her and Rachael, so Jen tried to stand in the spot next to her car to save it for Rachael, but those other douche bags took the spot even though Jen told them she was saving it. Sooo, Rae had to go park on the next level up (which she was NOT happy about cuz she was already in a bad mood and didnt wanna have to walk by herself later and get raped). Well, if you know Rae, you can prob picture her doing this: walking down to Jen's car and then basically congratulating him on "winning the asshole of the night award." Very funny and true story hahaha. Got to Wall St. pretty late but still had a blast. Did a little drinking, and then a little dancing. And a little being scared of this one creepy guy that wouldnt stop starting lol. We had a blast!

Reminiscing

I found this photo...

The first Day Rachael and Jennie met... awwwww...

A baby's arm holding an apple!

We went to SeaWorld this past weekend. Twas fun as usual, although excessively crowded and hot. Guess we forgot it was the middle of summer in tourist-town Orlando. Oops! :)

Anyway...watched the Dolphin show, Photobucket

cuz it is Rae's fav, and Jen had never seen it. And of course, it was amazing as usual. And the divers all had hot packs. Then they went to get their free beer!! Which is basically the best thing about going to SeaWorld. While there, (and for reasons that shall remain secret at this point), Jen's Boyfriend Daniel started talking about how his friend Roger (names have been changed to protect the guilty) has a penis thats like a baby's arm holding an apple. Hysterical, it became the joke of the entire day having us So randomly we'd blurt out statements that related back to a baby arm holding an apple, But the best part of the day was when we saw this: Photobucket

Thats right its a Baby holding an apple!

Some how the combination of Free beer and crazy Pizza and fun Hats is always a good combination. so we had to play with them and try them on:

Why was their a Random HUGE barbie ontop of a Stroller?

Photobucket

Not the most adventurous day at the park however, we were able to take some fun pics, and make it a very lovely inside joke day.
*Note to Selves the Summer is Always Crowded and hot in Orlando at Theme Parks.

We got with your Mummy and she liked it

We like to do things Cheap in Orlando, so when we heard there was going to be a Free Screening of the Mummy 3 we were all about watching Brendan Fraser and his hotness.
Soooo....
Rachael and Jennie decided they were going to meet at Universal at like 4:30 to ensure adequate time for ticket distribution. Jennie had accidentally forgotten her pass, so Rachael waited in line for the tickets to the first 400 people. However, they were only giving tickets to actual people in line and would not give Rachael the extra one for a "guest" since Jen was stuck trying to get in the park. Luckily Rae had made friends with these two gays in line, and they got extra tickets and gave one to her.

Jennie's adventure of forgetting her pass: Coming straight from work, and forgotting my Annual pass at home I Nervously told the parking attendant that I had forgotten my pass. She was nice about it and just had me sign a paper and still let me park for free. After getting a great spot I went straight to Universal’s guest Services. After waiting in line for literally an hour I finally got to the window, apparently people forget/lose their passes quite often so he was very nice about the situation, because it was my first time he waved the $10 fee and gave me a new pass and I met up with Rachael in the Candy shop. Those Cherry Coke Flavored Gummies are so good!

We really had no real plans to go on rides, so we just walked around the park for a little bit. We decided to go take a picture by the Mummy ride, since we were going to talk about our entire experience. We had Andrew, (a guy who worked at the mummy ride), Who we quickly befriended and took us the So we went through the back way and skipping the long line and getting on the Mummy Ride right away. Besides getting seated next to a screaming teenage girl, It was fun as always. After the ride we went to get some TCBY. Didn’t finish it, but it was good. Then it was time to go in and grab our seats for The Mummy.
The theater was getting full but we found a seat in the very back row. We couldn’t figure out where this Michael Jackson music was loudly playing from, and we finally figured out this man (whom we lovingly refer to as "Music Man") to our left must have just bought the new Chocolate phone, and was playing music from his pocket. Granted it didn’t bother us at first, but when it didn’t stop, we were thinking “Really?? Can you be More annoying?” At one point the movie theater workers needed to make an announcement so everyone got quiet, and music man turned his music louder!
The movie was Amazingly Horrible! ---like Snakes on a plane amazing but not even trying to be funny! It was just semi sad. The best part of the entire movie was the Harry Potter Trailer in the previews. Granted it did have its moments like there was a part where O’Connell and his son were talking about their “Guns”. No wait... That was the only good moment. And apparently when an emporer turns immortal he becomes a 3 headed dragon --seriously? really?
If you can't wait to see a disappointing movie this summer, we highly recommend seeing The Mummy 3!

Over and out.

First Post!!!

This is Jen from Raejen! I'm so excited about our new Blog! Rae and I always say that we need to document our happenings and we finally are. Eventually we'd like to set up our own youtube with video blogs, but since neither of us have a camcorder, this will be fine.

So lets start with a little introduction and background about us; Rachael (Right- Brown Hair) and Jennie (Left- Blond Hair) met while attending the University of Central Florida through the Fraternity (...sorority) Kappa Kappa Gamma. Some miraculous outside force told Rachael to attend a New Member Lunch, where she met me. I needed a job like woah, and asked if she knew of anywhere that was hiring. After learning Universal (where she worked at the time) was hiring for Halloween Horror Nights, our first adventure was going to the HR department at Universal to find me a job. ..................I ended up working at Lindt Chocolate at the Millenia mall instead, but at least we started to hang out, and basically with a lot of crazy antics thrown in the rest is history.

In this blog we plan to do reviews, show our experiences, and try to get the general public to understand the way we think. Enjoy!
